"Some people don’t sleep at night - I am one of those people. These pictures were taken long after everyone had gone to bed - I would begin after midnight and go until 4 or 5 in the morning. I stopped at sunrise - like a vampire… I never really thought anyone would ever see these pictures, they went into shoeboxes, where they remained. I did everything - I was the stylist, the makeup artist, the furniture mover, the lighting director. It was my joy - I was the model…" Stevie Nicks

“In eternity, where there is no time, nothing can grow. Nothing can become. Nothing changes. So death created time to grow the things that it would kill…” - Rust Cohle
As a paranormal/horror blogger I can assure you these child abuse ads are the most scariest and saddest thing I’ve ever seen. Probably because things like that are happening RIGHT NOW at this very INSTANT.
And it’s horrifying but hopefully these ads bring more attention towards it.
I got these from this buzzfeed article. You can view more ads and the sources for these ads there as well.
The girl in the hands dress just completely fucked me up..
Anonymous said: Just letting you know if you're against egg consumption because of the cruelty in the industry, there is no reason to be against raising your own chickens as pets and consuming the eggs they lay naturally. Really.
Actually that is incorrect and here’s why!
1. Naturally, hens stop producing eggs once they get a full nest.
2. Stealing eggs from a hen will make her nest incomplete. As a result she will lay more eggs.
3. Over producing eggs leads to denourishment of calcium and other nutrients that the hen needs. Laying extra eggs also applies pressure to the egg laying organs which causes premature death.
However a lot of chickens that are home raised have been genetically mutated over years of farming to not stop producing eggs (without the chicken keepers knowledge)… Which causes the same problems as described in 3. With that being said, a way to replenish the right amount of nutrients that the hen needs, it is existential to teach them to eat their own eggs. You’d be surprised how much hens love their eggs once their body finds out how much nutrients that’s in them. Eggs are not vegan.
Hands down the best reply I’ve seen to this argument ever.
and it begets the question, why are people so hell-bent on consuming eggs?
they’re not even healthy I just don’t understand
In this issue, National Geographic explains that with our world’s population expected to increase from 7 billion to 9 billion by 2050, we are going to have to double crop production if we are to feed everyone. They explain that slashing more forest to create cropland is not an option, as we have already caused too much deforestation for the purpose of creating grazing land for cattle. National Geographic argues that we must become more efficient with the way we produce food: “It would be far easier to feed 9 billion people by 2050 if more of the crops we grew ended up in human stomachs”, instead of being fed to farm animals. They explain, “For every 100 calories of grain we feed animals, we get only about 40 new calories of milk, 22 calories of eggs, 12 of chicken, 10 of pork, or 3 of beef.” The crux is that the smart action to take to feed the most people, would be to eat the grain directly instead of wastefully feeding it to farm animals. If you care about solving the problem of world hunger, then go vegan.
that’s great let’s do it
all in favor go vegan, the rest can fuck right off this planet
